Improving accessibility and inclusion
More than 31% of Australians live with chronic, sometimes invisible, illnesses and other risk factors. They may be at higher risk for illnesses, such as colds, flu, COVID, and others, which can spread in the air we breathe, particularly indoors.
Everyone should be able to breathe safely indoors, so The Safer Air Project is advocating for improved indoor air quality as a way to prevent transmission of airborne pathogens and other airborne pollutants, which negatively impact health and productivity.
With your help,we can make indoor spaces accessible and inclusive for everyone.
This is Michelle
Her cancer is in remission.
She’s back to being a full-time member of the team – but her immune system is weakened, putting her at higher risk for illnesses that can spread in the air, like colds, flu, COVID, chicken pox, RSV and others.
People with chronic illnesses and other risk factors are part of every team, every classroom and every community.
The Safer Air Project is committed to ensuring people like Michelle have access to accessible and inclusive workplaces and other indoor spaces.
The Safer Air Project is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Donations above $2 are tax deductible.
We’re committed to empowering organisations to broaden their approach to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), while boosting productivity. By adopting our comprehensive solution to improving indoor air quality that spans awareness raising, practical support, policy improvement, training, education and accreditation, organisations can be confident they are creating safe and accessible indoor spaces for all.
“
By recognising the role of indoor air quality in health and productivity, and choosing to act, we can create more supportive and inclusive spaces for all.
