Advocating for change

The Safer Air Project is committed to driving policy change that promotes safer indoor air environments. Our advocacy efforts are both proactive and reactive.

Proactive policy development

We work with expert stakeholders to develop evidence-based policy reports and advocate for regulatory action to improve indoor air quality.

Our focus includes:

  • Highlighting the social and economic costs of poor indoor air quality.

  • Advocating for better air quality standards in schools, healthcare, and aged-care settings.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our report, Safer shared air - a critical accessibility and inclusion issue took place on Wednesday 20th November 2024. This ground-breaking report clearly articulates why we need to urgently act on improving indoor air quality to make indoor spaces healthier and more inclusive for all.

Reactive advocacy

We respond to opportunities from government consultations, inquiries, and stakeholder meetings.

This includes:

  • Participating in government inquiries and consultations.

  • Collaborating with patient organisations and experts to strengthen our advocacy efforts.
